I’ve just entered the apparently crowded marketplace of xhtml/css coding services. While researching the field, I ran across about 5 or 6 services – mostly because they were running ads on various other websites. Then I started looking on the search engines and the list grew to about a dozen. As time has progressed I’ve actually found nearly 30 specialized services (including myself).
Perhaps I’m crazy to list my “competitors”, but I think xhtml/css converion is s a valuable service. Since I’m on the list, and it would be a conflict of interest; I’ll only list the services I have found without reviewing opining. However, I would recommend that you try to go as local as possible – but that’s a personal decision.
I’ve tried to keep this down to companies that specialize in xhtml/css only. Or perhaps more accurately: companies with a URL dedicated to xhtml/css conversion only. Undoubtedly, I will have missed a few, so please comment or email me and I’ll add you to the list.

A few of these were culled from Jonathan Snook’s List of HTML/CSS Services. Also, see Jonathan’s post The Commoditization of HTML. Other resources worth mentioning include:

EDIT 8/10/07 – Added Cooper Mor’s Happy XHTML service to the list.
EDIT 7/11/07 – Casey emailed me to let me know about XHTML King.
EDIT 6/20/07 – Added We’ll Code It to the list. Also see Sam’s comment below (#19) praising the services of We’ll Code It.
EDIT 5/16/07 – I found Hone Watson’s list: A selection of PSD to XHTML CSS Design Services and Providers. Based on Hone’s list, I’ve added XHTML in 24 Hours, Squeegee, Design Creek, and Merix – the latter 3 aren’t xhtml/css-only services (they offer more), but I figured I’d include them to be more complete. By the way, Hone mentions the Aloe Studios logo reminds him of the B5 Media logo – perhaps B5 has a new logo, because I don’t see the resemblance (although I’ll admit, I’m a xhtml/css nerd and not a logo designer!)
EDIT 4/16/07 – Found a Brazilian service (site is entirely in Portugese) CSS Express (added above). So far, I’ve only included and sought out English-speaking sites on this list. I’ll probably limit it to only English-speaking sites due to the fact that I speak only English… but I will include non-English sites when I happen to find them
EDIT 4/13/07 – And the edits just keep coming… Peter from Chop and Code, and Valentin from Slice’r'us have both got in touch to let me know about their services. (both added above)
EDIT 4/12/07 – Found another brand spanking new service called FastSlicer (added above). Since my Google Alerts decided to stop working, I started using Swamii where I found FastSlicer’s forum post on v7n.
EDIT 4/10/07 – Thanks to Claudio for pointing out the designer’s chop shop. Also, Tim Wall points out that HTML Xpress is a coding service (“cutup” service as he calls it) specifically for Light (and he also mentions this blog post… Thanks Tim!).
